October 22 - This One’s for You, Aunty Kehau!
October 22, 2021 - Five Years Without You
It’s been five years since we last got to be in your presence, but somehow, it feels like ten. Not a day goes by that we don’t think about you. For a long time, even listening to Hawaiian music was hard. Every song would break my heart all over again. It took time, but eventually, those same mele started bringing back the beautiful memories.
So much has changed since you left us. You have a new moʻopuna named after you, carrying your name and a piece of your legacy forward. We stopped drinking (WHAT?!). I bet you never saw that one coming! Kamahie graduated from college, and I started my own business, Got’um Surfing. Life keeps moving, but we wish you were here to see it all.

A Special Tribute from Got’um Surfing 💜💚
Got’um Surfing created this special Green surf hat with our Purple logo in honor of Pancreatic Cancer Awareness and in memory of Aunty Kehau. All proceeds will be donated to ʻohana fighting Pancreatic Cancer. Get your hat and join us in making waves for a cause that matters.
For many of you, she wasn't just an aunty. She was a mother, a sister, a cousin, a friend, and someone who made an impact on so many lives.
When we think of Aunty Kehau, we remember the ono food, the buss laughs, getting yelled at when we needed it, the kanikapila, the drinking, the advice, and all the mele. We remember the good times, the lessons, and the moments that brought us together as family. Those are the memories we will carry with us forever.
This hat is more than just something to wear. It's a reminder of someone who meant so much to so many people. It's a way to honor her memory, raise awareness for pancreatic cancer, and keep her spirit alive through the things we love.
We love and miss you so much, Mom, Aunty, Cuzzin, Sister, and Friend. Five years have passed, but your presence is still felt in so many ways. You will forever be a part of us.
Forever in our hearts. Forever our Aunty Kehau.
💜💚 This one’s for you, Mom.

Pancreatic cancer affects so many individuals and families, and no one should have to face that journey alone. That's why we're proud to offer "Aunty Kehau's Hat" — a way for us to honor our Mom's legacy and a way for you to wear your support, spread awareness, and help give back to families navigating this difficult fight.
Every hat represents more than a purchase. It's a reminder that we're in this together.
When you purchase a hat, you're helping us support ʻohana affected by pancreatic cancer. Mahalo for being part of our Got'um Surfing ʻohana and helping us turn awareness into action.
