"What an amazing time. Lopaka, Uncle Sunny and their talented cameraman were so professional and friendly. Me, my 8 and 11 year old daughters were instructed on what todo, how todo it on land before heading into the water and we all stood up within the first 5 mins of battling the waves 😜. Mind you none of us had ever surfed before (first timers). Lopaka provided rash guards and booties. I would highly recommend got’um surfing to anyone looking to have a good time in Maui. "I can’t say enough good things about our experience and our instructor, Lopaka. Patience, humor, clarity, and just such positivity and good vibes. He was awesome. It was me (49, almost 50), my oldest son (17) and my youngest son (11). Lopaka worked individually and adjusted what was needed for each of us. My boys took right to it…not being as limber as I once was, I was the one who required a little more attention, and Lopaka was everything I needed in an instructor.
